Food blogs

I have a few favorite food blogs that I regularly visit; 28 cooks being the BEST. Today she had a link to one called JUSTHUNGRY, which then linked to Just bento. She lists recipes for 1 week of miso soup. A few days ago, all I wanted was miso soup.

Zi and Mary Christmas

We had a very enjoyable Christmas this year. It was good to hear from everyone. Thanks for coming, calling, sending pictures, and just for being so great! How about more posts in 2008?

Mary's Movies

When we had cable in St. George Zi discovered The Fresh Prince of Bel Aire. It was on Nick at Night every night. Ever since then he has been a Will Smith fan. He loved The Pursuit of Happyness I think he was even trying to hide his tears during that movie. So he was really excited to see Will's newest film I am Legend. What a disappointment that was. I give it an "Oh Geez!" and a "huuuuuh?! Yeah right!" None of you were probably planing on seeing this anyway but if by chance you were, don't! If you do get a chance to make it to the movies Enchanted is neither a waste of your money nor your time. Although it's ending, like most Disney movies, was all wrong. I give Enchanted a chuckle and a smile with a confused and judgmental eyebrow raise at the ending.

This has been Mary's Movies if you would like to see more of Mary's Movies just.......... BABYSIT MY KIDS SO I CAN GO OUT!

Awesome Meteor Shower

At 2:30 this morning, I bundled up and headed outside to see about this Geminid shower.
WOW! I saw about a dozen fly by before my toes turned icy. The sky was so clear, the stars amazingly bright. It was worth being so sleepy now...I'm going to take a short Winter's nap.

The Golden Compass

Rebecca and I went to see The Golden Compass last night. I don't know if you have heard any rumors about it, but they aren't true. The movie was great. I noticed a lot of parallels to mormonism in it. The underlying message is about the battle between agency vs. coercion where some people want to eliminate agency so we will be forced into obedience. The Golden Compass is a tool that helps you know the truth about anything, and the girl is the only one that can read it. Anyway, it all sounds very familiar to Mormons and I would hate to see anyone protest it because of crazy fanatic rumors.

New York, New York

Steve, Angie and family have safely arrived in their new home. The address is:
7 Georgia Street
East NorthPort, New York 1173 They live close to the school where the kids will start on Mon. The house is newer and warmer than in Maine. The house next door belongs to the mother of a celebrity....Edie Falco, who was married to Tony Soprano. They are unpacking and getting ready for a fun day in the city. I look forward to hearing all about this new, exciting adventure in their lives. They just missed the last big "Nor'easter" and record snowfall in Maine. Thanks for calling, Angie
P.S. Remember Pearl Harbor Day

Pray for Grandpa

Grandpa Thornton is in the hospital. He has blood-clots in both his legs and lungs. He is receiving good care of course and would welcome our prayers. Grandma would as well.

Hi Everybody

It's been pretty quiet here at the Sato family weblog. Hope everyone is enjoying the greatest month of the year, DECEMBER! I just wanted to let you know I've been updating my blog. I'm going to try to post a picture a day or a weeks worth of pictures a week if I don't get the chance to post everyday, then print it out. It might be fun to have 10 years down the road or it might not be, I'll see in 10 years.
I'd love to see more pictures of all you guys. So... POST! please.
